Bold and Stunning Alexis Bittar Summer Lucite Collection!

Alexis Bittar, described as "one of the most innovative jewelry designers of the 21st century", first began creating hand crafted lucite jewelry in his twenties inspired by the bakelite jewelry from the 1930s. Using Italian glass from the turn of the century, his second line combined sculpture and reflections of light, giving it a modern twist.

One of my personal favorites is this amazing Sophia cocktail ring. Made from hand carved gold tone lucite with 18K gold center piece, this ring is to die for. Finely textured lucite allows light to travel through, creating a warm glow of molten glass or gold shimmering through ice.



I love this stunning set of Alexis Bittar earrings and bracelet made in a rope-twist motif from hand carved lucite and decorated with glittering Swarovski crystals.
